Ford First Responders Program

Ford First Responder Recognition Program

A Thank You for Those Who Answer the Call

First responders show up for our communities on their hardest days. Ford’s First Responder Recognition Program offers eligible professionals an exclusive cash reward toward the purchase or lease of an eligible new Ford vehicle.

Serving the People Who Serve Southwest Florida

From a late-night call in DeSoto County to an emergency on Highway 70, first responders do the work most people hope they’ll never need. Desoto Ford is proud to help eligible law enforcement officers, firefighters, EMTs, paramedics, and public safety dispatchers use Ford’s recognition benefit on a qualifying new Ford for sale or for lease.

The reward amount and eligible vehicles can vary by ZIP code and may change during the program year. That’s why the first step is checking Ford’s official recognition site. Enter the ZIP code where your vehicle will be registered, verify your status through ID.me, and bring your confirmation certificate when you visit us in Arcadia.

How to Get Your First Responder Certificate

1. Find the Offer for Your ZIP Code

Visit Ford’s official First Responder Recognition page and enter the ZIP code where you plan to register the vehicle. This shows the current reward available in your market.

2. Verify Your Status

Follow the ID.me prompts to confirm your identity and qualifying first responder status. Supporting documentation may be requested during verification.

3. Save Your Certificate

Once approved, Ford will email a confirmation with a unique certificate ID. Bring a copy of that confirmation when you’re ready to purchase or lease an eligible new Ford.

What You May Need for Verification

ID.me may ask for documents that show your current qualifying status. Accepted documentation depends on your profession and may include:

  • A valid professional identification card
  • A recent pay stub showing your employer and role
  • A recent training completion certificate
  • A valid, professionally or government-issued certification
  • An active Pro Board certification for certain firefighters
  • A Standard Form 50 for certain federal law enforcement applicants

Use Ford’s current program instructions for the exact documents accepted for your occupation. Once verification is complete, the certificate email is the proof you’ll need at the dealership.

First Responder Program Questions

How much is the Ford First Responder reward?

The reward can vary by market. Enter the ZIP code where the vehicle will be registered on Ford’s official First Responder Recognition page to see the offer currently available to you.

Which first responders qualify?

The current program includes many active law enforcement officers, firefighters, EMTs, paramedics, qualifying flight nurses and medical helicopter pilots, and 911 or public safety dispatchers. Specific titles and credential requirements apply, and ID.me makes the verification determination.

Do retired police officers qualify?

Ford’s current 2026 program FAQ lists retired police officers as ineligible for first responder verification. Because eligibility rules can change, confirm your status through Ford’s official program site before making vehicle plans around the reward.

Can nurses, doctors, or hospital employees qualify?

These roles are not generally verified through the First Responder affiliation unless the applicant separately qualifies under an included role, such as an eligible flight nurse. Ford’s ID.me process determines eligibility based on the current program rules.

Can the reward be used on a used Ford?

The First Responder Exclusive Cash Reward applies to the purchase or lease of an eligible new Ford or Lincoln vehicle. It does not apply to ordinary pre-owned inventory. Eligible models can change, so check Ford’s current vehicle list and confirm details with Desoto Ford.

Can this reward be combined with another Ford offer?

Program compatibility varies. The Desoto Ford team can check the incentives available for the specific vehicle, buyer, registration ZIP code, and transaction date.

Can a member of my household use the offer?

Ford’s current program FAQ says the offer is transferable within the household and from a business to its owner. All eligibility, residency, address, documentation, and transaction requirements still apply.

How many vehicles can the program cover?

Ford’s current FAQ states that the offer may be applied to a maximum of five eligible new vehicle purchases or leases per calendar year. See the official program terms for complete details.
